The database page for Manuel Vega Torres

19 Mar 2004

Manuel was a Apache born in Silver City, New Mexico. He lived in Mira Loma, California, until his graduation from Corona High School where he was a champion wrestler. He was friends with M.O.H. recipient George Alan Ingalls [Note: A/2/5 Cav, KIA 16 Apr 1967], and I believe Manuel was in the 101st Airborne, out of Ft. Polk, La. Manuel was popular, studious, courageous, "tough", and caring. He literally gave me the shirt off of his back, and was one of the most mature, brave young men that I ever had the pleasure of knowing.
