The database page for Tommy Lee Trimble
Tommy was from the oilfields of West Texas, Odessa, Texas. Tommy joined the Army just after I did. He was in administration just as I was. He was a teletype operator. Eleven months into a 12 months tour in Vietnam, he suffered a heart attack and died. That is not supposed to happen to a 21 year old who is fit for military service. Tommy is remembered for his service and his sacrifice. His name is on the plague at the Ector County Courthouse and also at the Permian Basin Vietnam Memorial located at the Midland International Airport, Midland, Texas.

Tommy is buried in the Ector County Cemetery in Odessa, Texas. Donald Ray Trimble's wife provided the picture. Donald Ray was Tommy's younger brother and had completed his tour in Vietnam in February 1969, the month before Tommy died. Tommy was a part of a big family of eight brothers and sisters and they still remember and honor Tommy.
