TRIBUTE My friend, my neighbor, and playmate. There is not a day that passes without a thought for you. I remember playing cowboys and Indians, not thinking of going to war. I am Tommy's cousin and my memory of him is that he completed his tour in Vietnam and signed up for a second tour. His mother told him he had done his duty and to stay home. He said to her that he was single, had no children to support, and "there are so many who have small children to raise, it's better for me to go than them". Tommy is my hero, it's like he knew he wouldn't be coming home but he went anyway and didn't have to. We miss you, Tommy.

A Note from The Virtual WallThe 3rd Bn, 11th Marines Chronology for February 1968 contains the following:"On 6 Feb there were rocket attacks in the Danang area. Rockets were first reported at 060100H [1 AM, 06 Feb]. ... During this attack Battery "G" received about 25 122mm rockets. The Fire Direction Center bunker at Battery "G" received a direct hit temporarily trapping the Battery Commander and 4 of the 6 living FDC men inside the gutted bunker. ...
