Pfc Allen Ritter, I have heard first hand of your actions during Operation Crazy Horse. You were Lt McCarron's RTO. You were right next to him when your platoon (2nd Plt) flanked the enemy, to save 1st Platoon from the ambush. How scared you must have been but you all pressed on. Mr McCarron speaks highly of you, I'll visit him and shake his hand soon. Your name will come up for sure. It is some 40 years later and you, Mr Ritter, are on my mind daily. Though I didn't know you personally, I will get to know you from those who did. The wound to your leg was bad, but medevac was not possible in that valley, at that time.

Thanks to actions of men like you, they took it to the enemy, and defeated them. If not for bravery such as yours, more would have been lost for sure. Your sacrifice is appreciated on a daily basis. When I atone for my sins in the presence of God, I hope I get to the kingdom of heaven, and upon entering my mansion there will surely be a room for my friends of the "Jumping Mustangs". Thank you.

"HONOR AND COURAGE"
