Memories are little parts of one's life and Private Trittschuh was one of those memories that I will never forget. I only knew him for a very short period of time but it was long enough that he made an everlasting impression on me. Be proud of him.

A Note from The Virtual WallThe book and movie We Were Soldiers Once - and Young made the 7th Cavalry's November 1965 fight in the Ia Drang Vally well known to Americans - but the 1st Cavalry Division's losses in the Ia Drang neither began nor ended with that battle.On 02 August 1966, A Company, 2/7th Cavalry, was back in the Valley for Operation PAUL REVERE II. Eighteen Americans died on that day at LZ Pink in an engagement with North Vietnamese regulars:
