A Note from The Virtual Wall

Shortly after take-off a UH-1H (tail number 66-16330) went into a left descending turn, crashed, and burned. Four men died in the incident:
  • WO1 William Warren Wieburg, pilot
  • WO1 Stanley Bruce Smith, copilot
  • SP4 Michael Frank Green, gunner
  • SP4 Dan Leon Herdebu, crew chief
